You just got Notedbooked..

The other day while catching up on tv show I dare not even to admit I watch. I came across something that I would say is some what of a phenomenon. Though some have probably already heard of it I’ve clearly been keeping it old school and I suddenly feel ancient. Its called “Notebooking” not to be confused with a method of displaying ones studies. Now before you get the wrong idea and get nasty little thoughts in your head lemme just say, you are right. Urban Dictionary describes it as a term used on how a guy or a girl gets their better half to watch the movie “The Notebook”  and most times, trying to make them so emotional and sad that they are in the right state to be seduced. Many would say it is the first step to making sure he is whipped and some say it makes them pass out and walk up married to their gf.  Movies such as A walk to remember, P.s I love you, SATC and Sisterhood of the travelling pants can also be used to has been proven to be less affective then The Notebook.

I wanna know have YOU ever been notebooked?

ME LIKEY!.

The most boring part about being broke isn’t missing out on awesome adventures with your friends, or spending your days window shopping for shoes you know should go home with you but instead are going home with some random slag who will never treat them as nice as you will. No the most boring part about being broke is finding awesome design related gadgets you know will be handy for your personal and professional projects.

This project is possibly this coolest thing I have EVER stumbled across. SO who ever wants to sponsor me with 25$ will have the honor of making me ridiculously happy. Yeap. Indeed… Pretty pretty please?

Imagen having a sketchbook somebody has already decided the theme to, and imagine filling up that sketchbook, shipping if off and letting it go on tour around the USA. COOL right? No? Sucks for you because I think its AWESOME!

What is trust?.

fishy fishy.

I think every girl can relate, sometimes, some days things just don’t seem right. You look in the mirror and everything is just down right wrong. It doesn’t matter what you wear, how you do your hair or how much make-up you put on. It just seems off. At least you dont look like this

and that alone should put a smile on your face. It puts one on mine :)

10.30 pm.

Who would have thunk it, but being bored actually makes time fly by too.
As I was flipping though my calender yesterday it suddenly dawned on me that it has been over a month since I handed in my final major project, a month since I unofficially graduated university, a month since I promised my mother I would sort my life out and get summer job.

So far I have yet to find it in me to start typing up my CV but I have fallen in love, had my heart broken and spent a week curled up in a bed in Norwich forcing myself not to cry. Oh btw Jack, if you ever do read this, you’re an ASSHOLE  and we are DEFIANTLY OVER. and not to forget I have moved into my apartment, so far I have spent 11 nights alone in it. Which sounds more sad in my head than it does in type. A lot of my time has gone to streaming reruns of Friends on a Wi-Fi I am currently stealing from my neighbor because according to Virgin Media, my flat doesn’t exist.  I’m on season 9 now if you’re wondering.

I have had the pleasure of running into some of my neighbors. Some of them are pretty decent, cool people. Some of them don’t see eye to eye on when it’s appropriate to blast music. The guy above me thinks 8am, I think 10pm hence why on my first night here I got my first complaint. I am not joking and while going upstairs to apologize the boxer wearing 40 something year old invited me for dinner sometime. I mean I guess that’s friendly.

I wish I could say I now have a clearer idea of what I’m doing this summer, but in all honesty I don’t. I know Cecilie is coming on Monday, Shev on the 3rd and my parents on the 5th and they leave on the 16th. After that? God knows, but spending the rest of the summer in Norway might not be so bad.

10 blogging tips.

So as I promised a more positive blog post! YEAY! Rejoyce! Anywho thought I’d share some top ten important blogging tips. I dont follow them myself but hey maybe you want to.

1. Be yourself.

There is not point on being somebody you’re not on your blog, well unless thats what you want to be known for but trust me, VERY few bloggers actually are able to pull the double identity off. What makes you any different?

2. Be unique.

In real life, when you convers with someone you have hand gestures, facial espressions and different tones of voice. On a blog you dont. So try to find your own unique voice, your own writting style.

3. Be focused.

Most often, the most successful blogs has a theme, or a topic that the writer sticks to. A specific niche. It helps give the reader an idea og what exactly your blog is about.

if your thinking “yasmine doesnt have a topic” then your wrong, I do have a topic. Me.

4. Be honest.

Don’t write what you don’t agree with – it’ll be a lot harder to defend your post if people disagree with it. If you’re not sure you’ve got your facts straight, do some more research before your post. If you make a mistake, correct it and apologise – don’t try to bury it.

(Bonus tip: be responsible for your actions. What you write is on your shoulders – take responsibility for the things you say and do.)

Besides, the more honest you are the less rumors will occur and in the blog world, rumors are the life core.

5. Be interesting.

Have an opinion – don’t just report things. And don’t worry about people disagreeing with you!

You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.

6. Be approachable.

Encourage people to comment on your blog. Comment on their blogs, too. Be friendly and civil, even if you disagree – common courtesy goes a long way.

I have this point as i SUCK at commenting on other peoples blogs.

7. Be responsive.

If someone asks a question, answer it. You don’t have to reply within 5 minutes, but in most cases you should aim to reply within a few days. For lengthier queries, you could send a quick note to say you’ll reply as soon as you can.

8. Be proactive.

Don’t wait for other people to post things that you use as the basis for your own posts. It can be good to write a follow-up, but not all the time. Go in a new direction – approach your niche from a new angle. Seek opportunities. Find guest writers. Meet new people on blogs, forums and other networking sites.

Having said that I totally stole this tip list from some other blog.

9. Be available.

We can’t be online every moment of the day, but we can check our emails regularly. Maintaining an online presence is important – so don’t stop posting on your blog, and don’t stop using networking sites such as Twitter.

Ensure there’s a steady flow of activity – you don’t have to post for the sake of it, just don’t let people forget who you are (but don’t be annoying!).

Says me, who its the worst blogger when it comes to updating my blog.

10. Be thankful.

Building bridges with other bloggers is a very important thing to do. Help people; if people help you, thank them; contact other bloggers privately just to say hi (not only for blogging reasons); link to the people who have helped you.

Don’t expect to be best friends with everyone – but do be thankful for the friends you have.
